Types Of Air Products
Medical air:
- Medical air is air that has been purified and treated to meet the standards set by regulatory bodies such as the US Pharmacopeia (USP) or the European Pharmacopeia (EP). It typically contains at least 95% pure oxygen and 5% nitrogen, and is free of contaminants such as bacteria, dust, and other particles.
Compressed air:
- Compressed air is air that has been compressed and stored in tanks or cylinders. The composition of compressed air is similar to that of natural air, which typically contains 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, and small amounts of other gases such as argon, carbon dioxide, and trace amounts of other gases.
Process air:
- Process air is air that is used in industrial processes to control temperature, humidity, or other conditions in order to improve the efficiency of the process or to create a safe working environment. The composition of process air can vary depending on the specific process and the requirements of the application.
Breathing air:
- Breathing air is air that has been purified and treated for use in industries where workers are exposed to hazardous environments. It typically contains at least 19.5% oxygen, and is free of contaminants such as carbon monoxide, dust, and other particles.
Zero Air:
- Zero Air is an air that is free of Hydrocarbons and other contaminants, commonly used in laboratory settings to remove background interference. It is typically produced by passing air through a series of filters and purifiers.
Synthetic Air:
- Synthetic air is a blend of gases that is artificially created to mimic the composition of natural air. Synthetic air is typically composed of a mixture of nitrogen, oxygen, and argon gases in specific concentrations, to mimic the composition of air found at sea level.
